Our group is working in BioMEMS and Bionanotechnology, in the areas of interface between
micro and nano-engineering and life sciences. We
have projects in both of the following general domains,
(i) Micro/Nano-fabrication
for Life-Sciences, i.e. how micro/ nano systems can solve important problems in life
sciences. Examples include integrated biochips for detection of cells, DNA,
Proteins, and small molecules.
(ii)
Life-Sciences for micro/nano systems, i.e. how
life
sciences can help micro and nano sciences (we
have a lot to learn from nature !!). Examples
include DNA and protein mediated self-assembly of electronic devices.
